MEET OUR PASTOR

Pastor Jay has been married to his wife Roxanne for 25 years. They have two boys: Alex, Ashton, and a daughter-in-love, Tess. Jay joined Lighthouse as the Senior Pastor in September 2008. He has a passion for the Lord, for people, and for building a vibrant church community dedicated to making disciples and sharing the love of Christ with the world.

Jay received the Lord when he was 5 years old and was called into the ministry when he was 10. Later he would graduate from Liberty University. His pastoral journey has taken him into youth ministry for 17 years, serving as an Associate Pastor in New Bern, NC, and then back home to the Vinton area. Under the leadership of Pastor Jay, Lighthouse Bible Church has grown immensely. He faithfully preaches the Word of God proclaiming the life-changing truths of God’s Word. He lives His life longing to see what the Lord is going to do next! He has a passion for the Lord, and he has a passion for people. 

In his free time, Jay enjoys working with his hands, fishing, hunting, and camping, but most of all spending time with Roxanne and their boys.

Jay looks forward to fostering a welcoming and dynamic environment at Lighthouse, where together they can grow in faith and impact their community for Christ.
